Exclusive: Jason Momoa to Star in Minecraft Movie

In a surprise move, Lucasfilm and Warner Bros. Pictures have announced that Jason Momoa has been cast as the lead in their upcoming Minecraft movie. The film, which has been in development for several years, is expected to be a live-action adaptation of the popular video game.

Momoa, known for his roles in Aquaman and Game of Thrones, will play the character of “Stoneslayer,” a mysterious figure who controls the very fabric of the Minecraft world.
